Kingbird App Care · Managed hosting & consultation
Someone should be watching your app.
Your web app runs your business. Kingbird App Care keeps it online, backed up, and monitored, with a real person who answers when something breaks and scheduled time with us to plan what is next.
Managed hosting and consultation support, from $199/month, on DigitalOcean, AWS, Azure, or Heroku. You own the code, the data, and the accounts. Always.
Who this is for
Your developer built it. Who runs it?
Agencies build apps and move on. Freelancers disappear. If nobody is watching production, you find out about outages from your customers.
You built it with AI. Now it has users.
Apps built with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, or Claude get to working fast. But there is no backup plan, no staging environment, and nobody on call. We make AI-built apps production-grade.
You are done being the accidental sysadmin.
You did not start a company to babysit servers, renew SSL certificates, or learn what a dyno is. Hand it to us.
How it works
1. Assessment ($399, credited to your first invoice)
We review your app, infrastructure, and risks, and deliver a written findings report with a migration plan and exact monthly pricing. No surprises later because we looked first.
2. Migration or takeover, the careful way
We either take over managing the cloud environment you already have, or build a new one and migrate you to it. Either way, nothing cuts over until it is verified against the original, and your existing setup stays live until the new one is proven. Zero-drama transition is the whole point.
3. Operation
From day one: monitoring, alerting, daily backups, SSL, and security patching. You get a monthly health report and scheduled consultation time, not a ticket queue.

Plans run on managed cloud infrastructure in US datacenters: DigitalOcean, AWS, Azure, or Heroku, matched to your app at assessment. Every plan covers two things: the hands-on service, and your app’s actual cloud hosting costs up to the amount listed. Most apps fit comfortably inside it. If yours grows past it, we show you the numbers and agree on the right plan together. No automatic overage charges. Month-to-month, cancel with 30 days’ notice.
What is included. And what is not.
Included
- Hosting, environments, and infrastructure management
- Monitoring, alerting, and incident response (infrastructure)
- Daily backups and restore
- SSL, DNS, domain configuration
- Security patching at the platform level
- Health reports and consultation time
Not included (and we will say so up front)
- New feature development
- Bug fixes inside your application code
- Framework or dependency upgrades
- Content updates and design changes
When an issue traces to application code, we tell you exactly what we found and quote the fix separately, or hand the findings to your own developer. No blurry lines, no surprise invoices.
You own everything. In writing.
Most hosting arrangements with agencies are quiet lock-in. Ours is the opposite, and it is in the agreement:
- The code, the data, and the deliverables are yours.
- If we ever part ways, we transfer the repository, your application, a current database export, and all configurations to you or your new team within 30 days.
- Your environments stay live through the transition.
We would rather earn next month than trap you in this one.
Common questions
- Where does my app actually run?
- On managed cloud infrastructure in US datacenters: DigitalOcean, AWS, Azure, or Heroku, matched to your app and budget at assessment. We handle the cloud accounts, billing, and configuration either way.
- My app already runs on Heroku, Azure, or AWS. Do I have to move it?
- No. We can take over and manage the environment you already have, or migrate you to a platform that fits the app better. The assessment lays out both paths with real numbers, and you pick.
- Who owns the code and the data?
- You do. Our agreement states it plainly, including 30-day transfer-back if you ever leave.
- What counts as hosting support vs. development work?
- If infrastructure breaks (server, database, deploys, SSL, DNS), that is us, included. If application code breaks, we diagnose it, tell you what we found, and quote the fix separately. You will always know which side of the line an issue is on before money is involved.
- My app was built with AI. Can you really host it?
- Usually, yes. AI-built apps on common stacks (Next.js, Node, Python, Supabase/Postgres) are some of the smoothest migrations we do. The assessment confirms it before you commit.
- What does the assessment involve?
- Read-only access to your current setup, about a week, and a written report: current state, risks, migration plan, and your exact monthly price. The $399 fee is credited to your first invoice if you proceed.
- What if my app is huge or unusual?
- The assessment catches that. Some apps need a custom plan; we will tell you honestly, including if we are not the right fit.
- How does billing work?
- Monthly subscription by card or ACH, auto-paid. First invoice on signing; migration starts when it is paid. Cancel with 30 days' notice.
- What does 'cloud hosting bill included' mean?
- Your subscription buys two things: the hands-on service (monitoring, backups, patching, response, and consultation) and your app's actual cloud costs (servers, database, bandwidth) up to the amount listed on your plan. The assessment sizes your app so you start on a plan it fits inside. If your app grows past the included amount for a couple of months running, we walk you through the numbers and recommend the right plan together. There are no automatic overage charges, ever.
- Do you offer an SLA?
- Foundation and Growth carry response-time commitments and uptime targets. Contractual SLAs are available on Concierge engagements after assessment.
Stop hoping your app stays up.
One assessment. A written plan. A real person watching your app by next month. The $399 assessment fee is credited to your first invoice, and the report is yours either way.
