AI development for founders

You Know What You Want to Build. We Build the AI Behind It.

You have a product vision that needs real AI in it. Not a chatbot widget bolted on at the end. LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, and AI integrations built as first-class parts of your product architecture.

Kingbird builds AI-native software for non-technical founders. One senior US operator on every engagement. Your repo. Your IP. Working in production, not just in the demo.

What AI-native means in practice

LLM-powered products

Claude and GPT-powered applications with real product architecture: routing logic, context management, retrieval-augmented answers, and output that behaves reliably in production.

Agentic workflows

Autonomous multi-step agents that trigger actions across your product, your data, and your tool stack. Not a chatbot widget. A system that does things.

AI-native integrations

AI built into your existing product from the architecture level up, not bolted on after the fact. LLM features that feel native because they were designed as part of the system.

AI voice and intake systems

Inbound voice agents that answer, qualify, and route without a human in the loop. Built to your script and workflow, integrated with your CRM and calendar.

The problem we solve for non-technical founders

You've read the AI papers. You understand the capability. You have a specific product idea that needs real AI in it to work. But every agency you talk to either builds you a demo that doesn't scale or quotes you a nine-month project.

The gap is usually architectural. AI features designed as an afterthought become a liability at scale. Prompts that work in a notebook break when a thousand users are hitting them simultaneously. Retrieval that looks good in testing produces garbage with real data.

Kingbird builds from the architecture level. LLM routing, context management, prompt engineering, retrieval setup, and output validation are designed into the product, not added after the fact. The result is something that works in production, not just in a pitch deck.

Not building a software product?

AI tools for established SMBs

If you're running a business and want AI deployed into your operations rather than building a software product, Kingbird has a catalog of ready-to-deploy AI tools built for specific industries. Starting at $4,500.

Common questions

Do I need a technical co-founder or CTO to work with you?
No. Most of our clients are non-technical founders who are the product vision. We handle the technical decisions, architecture, and delivery. You stay focused on the business.
How do I know I'm not getting a product that only works in a demo?
We ship to your repo and your cloud environment. The test of success is whether it works in production, not whether it impressed in a presentation. Fixed-scope sprints include acceptance criteria that have to pass before the milestone is billed.
What AI stack do you work with?
Primarily Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT models, with retrieval via Pinecone or pgvector depending on the architecture. For voice, we use ElevenLabs and similar. The stack choice follows the problem, not a house preference.
How long does it take to build an AI-native product?
An MVP with a well-scoped spec is typically 6-12 weeks. We scope the first sprint to produce something running in your environment as quickly as possible. No waiting 6 months for a 'big bang' delivery.
What happens when the engagement ends?
The code is in your repo. You own it. We write the runbook throughout the engagement so you or a future team can pick it up without starting over. Nothing is locked to Kingbird.
How do I know if what I want is technically feasible?
That's what the fit call is for. Chris will give you an honest read on whether what you're describing can be built, what it actually costs, and what the realistic timeline looks like. No pitch, no upsell.

Thirty minutes. A real read on what's possible and what it costs.

Book a fit call with Chris. You describe the product vision, he tells you whether the AI component is feasible, what it costs to build, and whether Kingbird is the right shop for it. No pitch, no slides.
