AI development for local business

Put AI to work in your business. Built to ship, not to demo.

You want real AI in your business, not a chatbot widget bolted on at the end. LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, voice intake, and AI wired into the tools you already run.

Kingbird builds AI for local and small businesses. One senior US operator on every engagement, engineering scaled to your budget, and you keep the code and IP. Most owners start with a $2,500 AI Operations Audit, and local business websites start at $2,500. Working in production, not just in the demo.

What AI-native means in practice

LLM-powered products

Claude and GPT-powered applications with real product architecture: routing logic, context management, retrieval-augmented answers, and output that behaves reliably in production.

Agentic workflows

Autonomous multi-step agents that trigger actions across your product, your data, and your tool stack. Not a chatbot widget. A system that does things.

AI built into what you run

AI wired into your existing site, product, and tools from the architecture level up, not bolted on after the fact. Features that feel native because they were designed as part of the system.

AI voice and intake systems

Inbound voice agents that answer, qualify, and route without a human in the loop. Built to your script and workflow, integrated with your CRM and calendar.

The problem we solve for local and small businesses

You can see where AI would save your business time or win you customers. But every agency you talk to either builds you a demo that doesn't scale or quotes you a nine-month project you don't need.

The gap is usually architectural. AI features designed as an afterthought become a liability at scale. Prompts that work in a notebook break when a hundred customers are hitting them at once. Retrieval that looks good in testing produces garbage with real data.

Kingbird builds from the architecture level. LLM routing, context management, prompt engineering, retrieval setup, and output validation are designed into the product, not added after the fact. The result is something that works in production, not just in a pitch deck.

AI tools by industry

If you want AI deployed into your operations rather than a product built from scratch, Kingbird has a catalog of ready-to-deploy AI tools built for specific industries. Starting at $2,500.

Not sure where to start?

AI Operations Audit

A 2-week engagement that maps your operations to specific AI tools, ranks opportunities by ROI, and delivers a written roadmap with real timelines and cost estimates. $2,500 flat. The document is yours no matter what comes next.

Common questions

Do I need a technical co-founder or CTO to work with you?
No. Most of our clients are local and small-business owners who are not technical. We handle the technical decisions, architecture, and delivery. You stay focused on running the business.
How do I know I'm not getting a product that only works in a demo?
We ship to your repo and your cloud environment. The test of success is whether it works in production, not whether it impressed in a presentation. Fixed-scope sprints include acceptance criteria that have to pass before the milestone is billed.
What AI stack do you work with?
Primarily Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT models, with retrieval via Pinecone or pgvector depending on the architecture. For voice, we use ElevenLabs and similar. The stack choice follows the problem, not a house preference.
How long does it take to build an AI-native product?
An MVP with a well-scoped spec is typically 6-12 weeks. We scope the first sprint to produce something running in your environment as quickly as possible. No waiting 6 months for a 'big bang' delivery.
What happens when the engagement ends?
The code is in your repo. You own it. We write the runbook throughout the engagement so you or a future team can pick it up without starting over. Nothing is locked to Kingbird.
How do I know if what I want is technically feasible?
That's what the call is for. Chris will give you an honest read on whether what you're describing can be built, what it actually costs, and what the realistic timeline looks like. No pitch, no upsell.
