Built for the people who show up.

Some of what we make is not for sale. When a group that helps people needs something we can build, we build it and publish it free for anyone to use. Here is that work so far, and how your group can ask for help.

Safety materials that survive the copier

Animals and Humans in Disaster is an Arizona 501(c)(3) and a federally recognized Medical Reserve Corps unit, #2473. Founded in 2010, it works across all 15 Arizona counties on preparation, mitigation, response and recovery, with an Animal Division and a Human Division serving vulnerable populations.

We designed BuddySOS flyers and cards for its volunteers, stroke survivors, caregivers and preparedness teams. The brief was accessibility first: large type, short lines, high contrast, and a QR code that still scans after the page has been photocopied more than once. Everything is free to download, print and reprint, with no form and no sign-up.

“I am thrilled to find a phone application like BuddySOS, both for work and personal use, to help people like me in non-medical emergency situations.”

In development

AI for disaster response

We are putting together a recurring one-hour working session for nonprofits, response units and community groups. Half is a plain-language introduction to what these tools are. The other half is one small project a volunteer organization can finish on its own, with the steps written down.

Sessions will be recorded and posted, so anyone who misses one can watch it later.
