What you get
A named senior operator owns the engagement from kickoff to handoff and answers on every call.
Every contract includes full IP assignment. Work happens in your repo, your cloud and your stack.
AI chatbots, integrations and automation are part of how we build, not an add-on.
Documentation is written as we build, so your team can run what shipped.
Senior oversight without an enterprise bill.
How it works
We join your Slack, read the repo, interview whoever last shipped code and write the blocker list. You get the diagnosis by the end of the week.
One shippable slice, small enough to ship in two weeks. Timeline, price and the first milestone date on paper.
Working code in your repo, running in your environment, with a runbook. Your team walks through what shipped at the end of week four.

Questions
What happens on a fit call?
Thirty minutes, no prep. You describe what is stuck. By the end you know whether we can help, what a starting engagement looks like and a rough price. If we are not the right shop, we say so and point you elsewhere.
How fast can you start?
Kickoff inside a week is the norm. For a takeover we need read access to the repo and one 60-minute call with whoever last shipped code.
Is there a smaller first step than a retainer?
Yes. The Stabilization Review: ten business days, a senior operator reads your codebase, backlog and team, and you get a written 30/60/90 plan and a live debrief call. $2,500 flat, and you keep the plan whether or not we work together.
Are you a shop or a solo?
A senior operator owns every engagement and stays in the room from kickoff to handoff. Delivery capacity sits behind them.
Who owns the code?
You do. Every contract includes full IP assignment, and the work happens in your repo and your cloud.
Do you only work with Phoenix businesses?
No. Kingbird is based in Phoenix, and most engagements run remotely with one accountable operator.
Who keeps it running after launch?
Kingbird App Care: managed hosting and consultation for custom and AI-built apps, with monitoring, daily backups, staging environments and a real person who answers when something breaks. We can take over your existing Heroku, Azure, AWS or DigitalOcean environment, or migrate you to a managed one. From $199/month, and you own everything in writing.
